According to the tipster Digital Chat Station, the Redmi K50 series is tentatively set to be unveiled by the end of February 2022. In addition, the new series is reported to be comprised of the K50, K50 Pro, K50 Pro+, and the K50 Gaming.
February 2022 makes a lot of sense because it was around February 2021 that its predecessor, the Redmi K40 series was unveiled as well.
The Redmi K50 Pro+ is believed to have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset at the helm, while the lower K50 Pro is said to have a Snapdragon 870 SoC. Meanwhile, the K50 and K50 Gaming are believed to be powered by the Dimensity 7000 and Dimensity 9000, respectively.
Additionally, rumors have mentioned that the Redmi K50 will have a 64MP main camera and a 5000mAh battery, while the Pro+ is believed to have a 108MP main sensor accompanied by a periscope telephoto lens.
The Redmi K50 series is also said to run on MIUI 13, out of the box. The series is also said to have 100W charging and an IP68 rating, however, it’s highly likely that it won’t be on all the models.
