Xiaomi is believed to unveil the Xiaomi 12 series in China before the year ends, while its global launch is expected to be in early next year. Most of the news surrounding the new series revolves around its confirmed chipset the new Snapdragon 8 Gen1.  Now, 3D renders of the rear camera design of the Xiaomi 12 Ultra have been shown and are expected to be as unorthodox as its predecessor Mi 11 Ultra’s rear camera.

Xiaomi 12 Ultra renders

These renders were provided by the Dutch website LetsGoDigital. Based on the renders shown, the main camera is believed to be in the center of the module and the ultrawide shooter may be located in the left of the main lens. There is also a cutout for the telephoto periscope lens that may be located on the bottom of the setup. To round up the camera design, a fourth camera is seen on top of the circle and it is speculated to be a ToF sensor or a shorter telephoto lens.

These designs were apparently based on the Twitter leak that was posted by Teme.

Lastly, early this year a tipster reported that Leica has apparently struck a deal with Xiaomi regarding its brand logo and it might be shown on the camera island of the Xiaomi 12 Ultra as seen on the renders.
