Google Doodle Urges People to Wear Masks and Get Vaccinated

The COVID-19 pandemic continues to impact communities around the world including the Philippines. The recent Google doodle urges people to get vaccinated and wear face masks to help stop the spread of the virus.

The “Get Vaccinated. Wear a Mask. Save Lives.” animated doodle shows the Google logo all masked up. The letters are shown to be all vaccinated but the letter “L” who gets vaccinated by letter “E”, the healthcare professional. In the end, the group gives a final cheer and a heart icon appears.

The doodle also hopes to pay tribute to all medical professionals administering vaccines to underscore the important role of nurses, doctors, and other frontliners across fields.

If you click the Google doodle, you will be redirected to organized information panels to instantly find vaccination updates, trusted news, links to global and local health authorities, health information, and more.

In addition, Google collaborated with independent media organization FYT to hold the #FYTCOVID19: Fighting vaccine misinformation webinar. It tackles COVID-19 vaccine misinformation and empowers journalists on fact-check tips and tools. The webinar will stream live free on the FYT YouTube channel from January 28-29, 2022 at 10 AM – 12 NN.
