The iPhone 14 series rumor train has started a few months ago and speculations about the camera and design features have been in circulation.
The series is said to have four variants – iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Max, iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Pro Max and is rumored to come fall 2022. This time though, there’s been no clear indication that a “mini” version will come.
In a report by analyst Jeff Pu for Haitong International Securities, Apple plans to make Pro and non-Pro variants identical in terms of displays and amount of RAM.
All four iPhone variants are said to sport 120Hz displays and 6GB RAM. In a previous report by Jeff Pu, he said that the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max would get an 8GB RAM but because of an apparent “supply chain check” that revealed the cost considerations, this changed to the lower 6GB configuration.
In addition, Pu says that the Pro variants will start at 256GB of storage along with the rumored 48MP main camera while the non-Pro variants will only have 64GB storage space.
It is still too early to know what other features will separate the Pro models from the non-Pro models but it is more likely that the camera setup will be one of the biggest differences between models. Expect more rumors to come that will support or dispute these early reports.
