MediaTek has just introduced the Kompanio 1380 chipset, the latest flagship chipset in the Kompanio family built for tablets and Chromebooks.
The new chipset is built on the 6nm process. It is an octa-core processor with four ARM Cortex-A78 cores clocked at up to 3GHz. These are accompanied by a penta-core Mali-G57 GPU.
It also supports up to two 4K 60Hz displays or one 4K 60Hz display and two 4K 30Hz displays. Additionally, it supports Wi-Fi 6/6E and Bluetooth 5 and AV1 decoding and HDR up to 4K at 60fps.
The new Kompanio 1380 is said to be powering a new version of the Acer Chromebook Spin 513 soon.
