realme has been teasing the launch of its next premium flagships for a while now, and finally, they’ve made their official debut. Welcome, the realme GT 2 and GT 2 Pro.
These new smartphones use a back panel that’s made from a bio-based polymer with the aim of mimicking the feel of paper. As with the realme GT Master Edition, the brand has once again teamed up with award-winning designer, Naoto Fukasawa.
realme GT2 has a 6.62-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, while the GT2 Pro has a flat 6.7-inch LTPO 2.0 AMOLED screen with 2K resolution, a maximum brightness of 1,400 nits, and Gorilla Glass Victus. Both boast a 120Hz refresh rate.
Under the hood, the vanilla model runs on a Snapdragon 888, while the Pro is powered by the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. The GT 2 has 8GB/12GB of RAM, and 128GB/256GB of storage, while the Pro variant has the same amount of RAM, but has a 512GB option for storage.
For optics, both sport a triple rear camera setup. For the GT2, it’s a 50MP Sony IMX776 main sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide unit, and a 2MP macro shooter. The Pro version, on the other hand, also uses the same main camera, but takes things a step further with a 50MP Samsung JN1 ultra-wide unit, and a microscope lens capable of up to 40x close-up shots.
Both devices run realme UI 3.0 on top of Android 12 and pack 5,000mAh batteries with support for 65W fast-charging. As for color options, there’s Paper White, Paper Green, Steel Black, and Titanium Blue.
