realme revealed in an FAQ published this week that the realme Pad will not get Android 12.
The company’s first tablet was launched with Android 11 which makes it pretty reasonable to expect Android 12. However, this won’t be the case. The post did state though that the tablet will still be receiving security and performance updates.
The company didn’t explain why this is the case though. We doubt it’s a chipset problem because the MediaTek Helio G80 can still support the latest Android version. Maybe the company will release a statement clarifying the decision.
