Samsung has just revealed that it will be unveiling the Exynos 2200 using a new GPU based on the RDNA 2 architecture on January 11, 2022.
The RDNA 2-based GPU will be the main highlight of Samsung’s new chipset. The architecture is also used in the AMD RX 6000 series GPUs as well as custom chips used in the Xbox One X/S and PlayStation 5.
The new chipset will support ray tracing which will be a first for mobile and makes it pretty interesting for the mobile gaming industry and enthusiasts.
The company has yet to reveal anything else about the new chipset but the Exynos 2200 is reported to have a 34% more peak performance than its predecessor.
