Xiaomi is expected to release the Black Shark 5 series soon. The manufacturer usually releases its gaming devices around march which they did with the older models.
Two models – Black Shark 5 and Black Shark 5 Pro have been spotted on TENAA along with key specs and details.
The Pro variant with model number KTUS-A0’s chipset was not shown in the TENAA listing. It is assumed though that it may be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 because of the listed 3.0GHz CPU that comes with 9/12/16GB RAM with 256/512GB storage.
In addition, the phone is expected to come with a 108MP main camera and a 13MP selfie cam (oddly, a downgrade from the Black Shark 4’s 20MP selfie cam). It sports a 4,650mAh battery with an expected 120W fast charging support.
Meanwhile, the vanilla variant’s CPU is listed at 3.2GHz which is expected to be the Snapdragon 870 SoC. It will be equipped with a 64MP main shooter with 8/12GB RAM with 128/256GB storage. The phone will also be powered by a 4,650mAh battery.
We will soon know more about the Black Shark 5 series and the brand’s partnership with Tencent (acquired last January) when it is launched.
