vivo is set to unveil the vivo X Fold in China on April 11, 2022, the 10th anniversary of the vivo X series. It is rumored to change the foldable smartphone industry. Here’s what we know so far.
The vivo X Fold is the company’s first foldable device. It continues the partnership between vivo and Zeiss and is expected to deliver high-quality imaging performance. Additionally, it is equipped with advanced tools like OIS gimbal stabilization as well as optical and digital zoom, to name a few.
As far as design goes, it is reported to have a hinge that adopts a mid-board design called an aerospace-grade floating wing hinge. The hinge is said to use multiple aerospace materials that allow it to be lighter and stronger. Additionally, it will be able to fold more than 300,000 times.
It is rumored to have an 8-inch 2K LTPO AMOLED internal display with a high refresh rate. The foldable is also said to have 80W fast wired charging and 50W wireless charging. Moreover, it will run on Funtouch OS 12.
With only a couple of days away from the launch, it is exciting to see how vivo will change the folding smartphone industry with the vivo X Fold.
