Lenovo Philippines’ first offline event since the pandemic brought a lot of surprises to the media, fans, and enthusiasts. Its announcements of Legion Gaming Laptops equipped with Intel 12th Gen CPUs are much expected as several brands have announced their Intel 12th Gen laptops a few days earlier than Lenovo but what surprised most is the brand’s announcement of extensive customer service to its userbase with an upgraded premium care warranty for laptops, free three-year accidental damage protection, three-month Xbox game pass, and lifetime Microsoft Office.
More Value Moving Forward
Apart from the Intel 12th Generaion CPU upgrade, the latest Legion Gaming Laptops from Lenovo will come with numerous upgrades in terms of customer service and customer satisfaction as the brand aims to be number one in this regard as they value customer feedback which resulted in the following commitments from the brand.
3-Year Legion Ultimate Support
It’s no secret that Lenovo Legion Gaming laptops come with the brand’s signature three-year Lenovo Premium Care warranty but apparently gamers wanted something more that’s better suited for their needs as gamers are mostly enthusiasts that know their device and require a more intimate and extensive support for their units. Enter, the Legion Ultimate Support which is frankly a gamer-centric premium care warranty with the terms service more fitted for gamers aka the Legion Gaming laptop owners. Legion Ultimate Support promises a more knowledgeable service staff and more accessible service both onsite on online support. Lenovo Gaming Laptops launched this 2022 and onwards will have a three year Legion Ultimate Support.
3-Year Accidental Damage Protection
One of the best announcements Lenovo has made in their event is the inclusion of a 3-year Accidental Damage Proection for all Legion devices moving forward. According to the brand, the decision to include this service for free is to address their customer’s request and its commitment for unparralled customer service in the country.
Microsoft Office 2021 Lifetime License
Additioanlly, all Legion and Ideapad Gaming devices will come with a Microsoft Offfice 2021 lifetime license without any additional cost for the user. Previously, only select Lenovo devices which were mostly Yoga devices that had the MS Office license and the licensethat was included was the Home and Student version.
3-Month XBOX Game Pass
Lenovo has partnered with Mircosoft and XBOX to bring 3-month’s worth of XBOX Game Pass subscription to newly bought Legion, Ideapad Gaming and even Yoga devices. While 3 months is a bit short compared to the three year warranty and lifetime MS Office subscription that we’re already getting with the new Legion Gaming Laptops, the duration is more than enough for users to save up for more games in the future. Additionally, the inclusion of the 3-month XBOX game pass allows users to enjoy their new gaming laptop as early as possible without having the need to buy AAA games thanks to the PC Game Pass’ extensive game library.
PCIe Gen 4 SSD on All Legion Devices
Lenovo brings Gen4 PCIE SSDs making it the standard storage solution across all of its Legion Gaming Laptops moving forward. Gen4 SSDs have double the transfer rate compared to Gen3 SSDs and are more expensive.
DDR5 Memory on All Legion Devices
Intel 12th Generation CPUs support both DDR4 and DDR5 memory. Most brands have a mix of DDR4 and DDR5 memory on their laptops depending on the configuraiton. Lenovo is the only brand, atleast here in the Philippines, to commit DDR5 memroy configurations across all of its gaming devices. We have not yet confirmed the DDR5 memory speeds but we expect the base 4800 MHz speed on Legion devices as they were the ones installed on the demo units on the event.
