OnePlus has just introduced the OnePlus Ace Racing Edition in China joining the first OnePlus Ace which was introduced in April. The new device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8100-Max chipset.
It is built around a 6.59-inch LCD panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 240hz touch sampling rate. The display also covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut and has a peak brightness of 600 nits.
As far as optics goes, it has a 64MP main camera coupled with a 64MP ultra-wide sensor, 8MP ultra-wide, and a macro lens. Rounding out the cameras is a 16MP camera up front.
The chipset is coupled with 8/12GB RAM and 128/256GB storage. It is also equipped with a 5000mAh battery pack with support for 67W fast charging.
Other features of the device include a 3.5mm headphone jack with support for aptX HD, LDAC, and LHDC. The brand has worked with Razer to recreate the look and feel of BlackWidow and Mercury keyboards with haptic feedback.
The OnePlus Ace Racing Edition is available in two colors. The base 8/128GB variant is available at CNY 1,999 while doubling the storage will cost you CNY 2,199. The top-specced 12/256GB option is priced at CNY 2,499.
It is uncertain if this device will make it out of Chian though, so we’ll just have to wait and see.
Ram found his love and appreciation for writing in 2015 having started in the gaming and esports sphere for GG Network. He would then transition to focus more on the world of tech which has also began his journey into learning more about this world. That said though, he still has the mentality of "as long as it works" for his personal gadgets.
