MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ launch

The new chipset has a higher-clocked Cortex-X2 high-performance core from 3.05GHz to 3.2GHz. However, it still shares the 1+3+4 core arrangement with three Cortex-A710 cores and four high-efficiency Cortex-A510 cores. Meanwhile, the improved GPU is the Mali-G710 MC10.

The Dimensity 9000+ has the MediaTek Imagiq 790 ISP that is capable of 18-bit HDR video capture from three cameras at once. Additionally, it supports images of up to 320MP, can process 9 gigapixels per second, and supports 4K HDR video with AI noise reduction.

The other improvement is the 5G modem with downlink speeds up to 7Gbps thanks to 3CC carrier aggregation. It also supports Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, and MediaTek MiraVision 790. The last of which allows devices to support WDHD+ display with 144Hz refresh rate or FHD panels at 180Hz and Wi-Fi display support of up to 4K60 for HDR video.

MediaTek reveals that the Dimensity 9000+ will be powering devices as early as Q3 2022.
