According to the leakster Ice Universe, the crease of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 will be much shallower. The leakster finished up the Tweet with, “I think most people will be satisfied”.
The crease on foldable phones is a result of the repeated folding and unfolding of the display. This is one of the more jarring visual changes in foldable devices compared to the more traditional smartphones that users just get used to.
A smaller crease may indicate less stress being put on the display which would make it easier for new foldable users to adjust to the new device. This, of course, will also improve the longevity of the device.
Prior to this, the leakster also shared photos of cases of the Galaxy Z Flip4 which hint at a redesigned hinge which could be the main reason for the shallower crease.
Additionally, the new foldable device is believed to have a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 with 8GB RAM and 128/256GB storage.
It is also reported to have a 6.7-inch FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a larger external display along with the same 12MP dual camera.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 and Z Fold4 are expected to be released in August.
