Aya Neo has just announced the Aya Neo Next 2 which is the first handheld to feature a dedicated Intel Arc or an AMD Radeon RX 6000 GPU. The move to a dedicated GPU instead of an integrated one serves the purpose of getting better gaming performance and higher frame rates.
No other details regarding the chips inside the Next 2 have been given. But with the dedicated GPUs, the Next 2 is now significantly thicker to accommodate a bigger cooling system.
The manufacturer also promised a way to support external GPUs if you want more performance out of the device.
Looking at the front of the device, it now resembles the steam deck even more with the addition of the two control pads on each side, two analog sticks, and four buttons as usual alongside two trackpads.
No launch date has been released for the Aya Neo next 2 but it is speculated to have a price above the EUR 1,000 range.
