Qualcomm has just announced that it will be holding the Snapdragon Summit from November 15-17 in Hawaii. This was announced along with the company’s new wearable chipsets – Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 and W5+ Gen 1.
The Snapdragon Summit is typically where the company introduces its latest flagship chipset, which is expected to be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Qualcomm is also expected to unveil more SoCs as well but those are pretty unknown for now.
The event is usually held in December. The move to hold the event a month earlier is speculated to be related to the Chinese smartphone market which sees a jump in sales during the Chinese New Year. Launching the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 earlier allows it to power more devices sooner.
