Maya has just announced that you can now scan GCash QR Ph Codes on the app and the other way around, making paying via either service even more convenient. QR Ph was introduced in November 2019 with Maya being one of the pioneers.
Maya – QR Ph codes
QR Ph is an interoperable common QR code that can be scanned and interpreted by any participating bank or non-bank e-money institution (EMI) to facilitate requests for fund transfers and payment. It can be used for digital person-to-person (P2P) transfers and person-to-merchant (P2M) payments via InstaPay.
All you have to do is look for the red, blue, and yellow QR Ph logo in the center of the QR Code and you can scan with either Maya or GCash. Read more on QR Ph here.
Paying via QR Ph is free of charge for officially registered merchants using the QRPH “Person to Merchant standard.
Update: You can also scan QR Ph codes to pay AUB, Metrobank, and Unionbank.
