Apple has just unveiled the latest iPad Pro powered by the M2 Chip. It promises to combine portability, versatility, and performance into one solid package.

The new iPad Pro is equipped with the latest 8-core M2 chip that is up to 15% faster than the M1 paired with a 10-core GPU that delivers up to 35% faster graphics performance.

In addition to the CPU and GPU cores, the 16-core Neural Engine can process 15.8 trillion operations per second which are said to be 40% more than what the M1 is capable of.

Additional features of the iPad pro are as follows: 

  • Apple Pencil hover Experience – A new way to interact with your screen. Thanks to the new iPadOS 16 and Apple Pencil(2nd gen), the pencil can now be detected 12mm above the screen. This then allows you to preview the marks you want to make before you actually apply them.
  • WiFi 6E This can help users who rely on fast data transfers even on the go. Download speeds reach up to 2.4Gb/s, 2x faster than its predecessor. On the other hand, WiFi+ Cellular(sub-6GHz and mmWave) now has support for more 5G networks around the globe.
  • Extra Pro features enabled by the iPadOS16
    • Stage Manager – this is a new multitasking experience that automatically organizes apps and windows, making it quick and easy to switch between tasks.
    • Desktop-class apps – allows for new capabilities that are optimized for the display. This makes apps more capable that come with new elements and interactions, consistent undo and redo, redesigned inline find-and-replace, new document menu, customizable toolbars, changeable file extensions, and more.
    • Reference Mode – gives the 12.9-inch iPad Pro with Liquid Retina XDR display the capability to match the color requirements in workflows like review and approve color grading, and compositing, where accurate colors and consistent image quality are critical.
