In 2021, Nokia filed a lawsuit against OPPO and OnePlus which resulted in the suspension of their sales in the German market over alleged patent infringements. Now, OPPO and OnePlus’ Australian presence seem to be next in line after reports mention Nokia filing a lawsuit in Australia regarding an alleged violation of its 4G and 5G technologies.

In response to this alleged lawsuit an OPPO spokesperson said: “So far, we have not been notified of any legal actions against OPPO in Australia. We continue operating normally in all markets except for Germany, where the sales and marketing of products affected by this legal case are temporarily on hold. We have been proactively negotiating with Nokia and will continue working diligently to resolve this matter fairly.”

Currently, the cases are ongoing and may end the suspension abruptly depending on the final outcome.

We can only hope the that two companies reach a new agreement. So for now, we can only wait for further updates on this lawsuit
