Razer just announced its 5G-enabled handheld gaming console – the Razer Edge 5G at the recently concluded RazerCon 2022. The device was developed in partnership with Qualcomm and Verizon.

The Razer Edge 5G works with Android games and games via the Epic Games launcher as well as cloud streaming services like NVIDIA GeForce Now and Xbox Cloud Gaming. Additionally, there will be full access to PC libraries via Steam Link, Moonlight, Parsec, and Xbox.

The Edge 5G has a 6.8-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, a Snapdragon G3x Gen 1 powers the handheld gaming device coupled with 8GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage. It also features a microSD slot for additional storage.

It also boasts a 5000mAh battery and runs on Android 12. Moreover, it offers a 5MP front camera and connectivity options namely sub-6GHz, mmWave Verizon 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.2.

The gaming device is bundled with the Razer Kishi V2 Pro controller as well, this is the Pro variant to the current Kishi V2.

Razer Edge 5G price and availability

The Razer Edge 5G is now available for reservations in the US and is priced at USD 399 (around PHP 23,500). There’s also a Founders Edition which comes with the Razer Hammerhead True Wireless earbuds and it goes for USD 499 (around PHP 29,500).

The device will be showcased at CES 2023 and will be officially available for purchase in January 2023.
