According to the Xiaomi Manager in charge of MIUI, Jin Fan on a Weibo post (based on machine translation), among the team’s goals while working on MIUI 14 is to make the OS the most efficient and the “lightest” for Android flagships.
This doesn’t really reveal much about the latest MIUI version but it could hint that MIUI 14 will run with little to no bloatware preinstalled out of the box.
Prior to this, there were rumors that the new MIUI version will roll out with no ads to make the devices more enticing to more people.
The first devices to run on MIUI 14 are expected to be the Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro, which according to recent leaks will be named Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro instead.
