According to reports, nubia is set to introduce the Red Magic 8 series soon. If this is the case, then the Red Magic 8 Pro could be the first gaming phone powered by the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.

It would be ahead of its gaming smartphone competitors including the Redmi K60 Gaming reported to debut in February 2023, the Black Shark 6 series in Q1, and the ROG Phone 7 series.

Recently, the device was spotted receiving its TENAA certification along with Bluetooth SIG certification under the model number NX729J. The listing on the Bluetooth SIG website reveals the name along with the model number.

Devices that are spotted on the Bluetooth SIG website usually debut a month after they are spotted so it is believed that the Red Magic 8 series could debut as early as December. This is drastically earlier than the launch of the Red Magic 7 series which was introduced in February 2022.
