vivo has just launched its latest TWS earbuds – the vivo TWS 3 and 3 Pro alongside its flagship vivo X90 series. The two new TWS earbuds promise great audio quality, ANC, and immersive sound.
The duo also share aptX Lossless support, 360° spatial audio, and a wide-band speaker. The last of which was developed in-house and reproduce sounds from 4Hz to 40kHz.
Additionally, they support Bluetooth 5.3 and LE Audio as well as bring down latency to 55ms. They also have three mics per earbud which are used for noise cancellation while you’re on calls. The earbuds themselves feature pressure-sensitive controls as well as touch support to control the volume.
Where they differ though is in active noise cancellation and battery capacity.
The Pro cuts noise down by 49dB and is tuned for very low distortion with a THD+N (Total Harmonic Distortion plus Noise) of 0.002% or below. Additionally, it reaches up to 4000Hz. For comparison, its predecessor used to tone down noise by 40dB.
The vanilla variant, meanwhile, only reduces noise up to 48dB but covers the same range.
vivo TWS 3 has a larger battery that is said to offer up to 10 hours of playback and a total of up to 40 hours with the charging case. This is lowered to up to 6.8 hours of playback and a total of 30 hours with the case on the Pro variant. These numbers are with ANC turned off.
Despite the numbers though, the Pro has a larger battery equipped in the charging case with a 510mAh battery compared to 430mAh on the vanilla variant. The battery on the earbuds is the same at 53mAh.
