vivo has just introduced its new vivo V2 chipset at the Dual-Core X Imaging Technology Communication Conference in China. The new chip paired with the Dimensity 9200 SoC offers artificial intelligence enhancement.

The vivo V2 chip is a self-developed chip from the company and features more memory, features, and supports AI computing. The new chip is capable of image processing with significant leaps over the V1 and V1+.

The V2 chip has dual-core interconnection synchronization between two chips that enable optimal data and computing power coordination. Additionally, it has DLA vivo AI deep learning accelerator module along with a large-capacity SRAM cache unit for drastically improved computing power for the chip. Power efficiency is also further enhanced due to the SRAM architecture.

The vivo V2 chip provides ultra-clear images with its high-end image engine. This can restore up to 35% of the focal length together with other image quality enhancement features.

The chip also has zero latency snapshots and motion detection techniques. The self-learning capacity of the chip has also been enhanced when capturing moving images. The RawEnhance 2.0 technology has also been improved for taking photos in dark light.

The V2 chip coupled with the MediaTek Dimensity 9200 was highlighted to provide even better performance with a lot of AI features including AI airport mode.

The vivo V2 chip is expected to debut on the vivo X90 series along with the Dimensity 9200.
