Nothing previously mentioned that Android 13 isn’t going to be making it to the Nothing Phone (1) this year. Now, the company announced that it is opening registration for the Android 13-based Nothing OS 1.5 beta testing.
It was previously announced that closed beta is already ongoing, so if you do sign up for the testing phase, it will be for the open beta which is arriving in mid-December.
Nothing OS 1.5 Open Beta Testing
Keep in mind that if you decide to join the Nothing OS 1.5 beta testing, you will most likely encounter bugs, crashes, and other issues. However, you will be able to give feedback on the Android 13-based OS which will be used for improving the stable build.
As far as the features go, the company has yet to reveal or even hint at any of them. We’re excited to see what it brings with it.
It is uncertain when the stable build of Nothing OS 1.5 will be rolled out though. We’re sure it isn’t coming this year though. We hope to see the Android 13-based Nothing OS version within the first half of 2023.
