Apple X Sony
Tim Cook finally said that the company has been working with Sony for the past 10 years. Apple’s CEO shared a photo of Sony’s CEO Kenichiro Yoshida touring him around a Sony factory.
In addition, Sony is said to be working on new sensors that feature the use of semiconductor technologies that lets more light in while reducing under or overexposure and will likely be in all the upcoming iPhones.
People in the industry know that company keeps a tight lid regarding its suppliers like its battery, chip, and display. However, reports from supply chain analysts stated that Corning is the one providing the front and back glass cover.
Furthermore, the reports also say that Samsung and LG are the ones supplying most of the OLED panels alongside the chips coming solely from TSMC fabs.
