Vampire Survivors, now on mobile!
Popular reverse bullet hell game, Vampire Survivors, recently became available on Android and iOS devices. The game was popularized for its simple yet challenging game mechanics and design.
What is this game?
To give you a quick perspective, reverse bullet hell is a new genre that involves level-scaling projectile and successive but user-programmatic progression of power and might as the main character survives through a wave of opponents. This genre also falls as a sub-category of roguelite games. Magic Survival, Brotato, Soustone Survivors, Survivor!.io and Vampire Survivors are among the games that fall within this genre.
Vampire Survivors is a crowd-favorite in the PC gaming space. It is also a popular game among Steam Deck users. It currently sells for only PhP169 on Steam, which features 5 characters and 13 stages. It has an upcoming DLC – Legacy of the Moonspell – that adds 8 new characters, 13 new weapon, and a brand new bigger stage.
Freemium Model
Inspired from the hit mobile game, Magic Survival, Vampire Survivors on mobile devices bring the popular genre and game to more people. As it is not using a very high-demanding game engine, the game runs pretty well on both Android and iOS devices. However, despite being available on Steam for more than PhP150, the developers, Ponce, chose to bring this to mobile with a freemium model. This means that the game is free to play, but you have the option to “revive” your character or adding bonus to your total collected coins by watching ads.
