Big tech companies in China like Xiaomi, iQOO, HUAWEI, and MediaTek announced that they will postpone their product launches after the passing of Jiang Zemin (former General Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party).
As seen in the images above, these companies posted their official statements on their official Weibo accounts.
Product launches that were moved include:
- Xiaomi 13 – it was supposed to come out today, December 1
- HUAWEI – launch of two smartwatches supposedly tomorrow, December 2
- iQOO 11 series and iQOO Neo7 SE – were supposed to launch tomorrow, December 2
- MediaTek Dimensity 8200 – was supposed to launch today, December 1
For now, we can only wait for further announcements from the companies involved regarding the new schedule for these product launches.
