Peugeot Philippines concluded 2022 as the fastest-growing automotive brand in the country and it is looking to roar into 2023 with new cars and more.
Peugeot Philippines – Fastest-Growing Automotive Brand 2022
The company announced a record year in the country with retail sales in 2022 rising 285% year-over-year. Since launching in January last year, the brand’s year-long sales momentum continued through December with record month-on-month performance, making Peugeot Philippines the fastest-growing automotive brand in 2022.
“It’s been a remarkable year for us, from beginning to end, and we’re extremely proud of how the allure of the Peugeot brand and our vehicles connect with so many Filipino customers. We’re grateful for the positive response of the market, for the investment and commitment of our dealers, and for the support of our friends in the media who helped share our story in 2022.”
Maricar Parco, Peugeot Philippines Brand Head
The huge customer demand for the Lion brand’s four nameplates namely the Peugeot 2008 SUV, Peugeot 3008 SUV, Peugeot 5008 SUV, and Peugeot Traveller Premium are a huge factor in the impressive growth.
Additionally, the company capped off 2022 with more showrooms and service centers across the country, as shared by Parco during a media thanksgiving organized by Astara Philippines, the exclusive distributor of Peugeot in the country.
A total of 13 operational showrooms nationwide were reported namely:
- Six locations in Metro Manila: Alabang, Balintawak, Makati, Manila Bay, Pasig and Quezon Avenue
- Four locations in Luzon: Bulacan and Pampanga in North Luzon, Sta. Rosa and Batangas in South Luzon
- Two locations in Visayas: Cebu and Negros (Bacolod)
- One in Mindanao: Davao
Opening soon are Iloilo and Cagayan de Oro and more in the months to come, to bring the brand closer to its target of 18 dealerships by the end of the year.
Roaring Into 2023: Peugeot Philippines to Launch New Vehicles and More Plans
Parco also shared plans to expand the company’s lineup by adding new variants to their current offerings, particularly the Peugeot 3008, Peugeot 5008, and Peugeot Traveller Premium. The introduction of new variants is expected in Q2 and aims to offer more options to customers.
Moreover, in Q4, Peugeot Philippines will launch a new model that offers Filipino customers a premium choice in a segment dominated by Asian and American brands.
In 2023, the company also looks to:
- Improve service reliability and parts availability in all service centers. Stellantis, the manufacturer of Peugeot, has accredited Europepar Car Service as the supplier of maintenance parts beginning the first quarter of the year.
- Launch its Emergency Roadside Assistance (ERA) program to give customers added peace of mind while driving their Peugeot vehicle on the road. The program will cover vehicle recovery, towing, fuel delivery, flat tire replacement, locksmith service, and battery boosting, among its services. Every brand-new vehicle purchased starting Q1 of this year will be covered by one year of free ERA.
- Bring back the Peugeot Easy-Own Program that offers customers an easier way of owning a Peugeot vehicle through various financing options with low-interest rates. Coming from a successful run last year, the program will be expanded this year to include more bank partners and better finance plans.
- Kick off its Le Mans 24-Hour Race Weekend Raffle promo which will have two lucky winners and their plus-one win tickets to France in June to witness the Peugeot 9×8 Hypercar in the race.
