Xiaomi held a big launch event before 2022 ended where it launched a new entry-level smartphone, the Redmi 12C. It was unveiled alongside the Redmi K60 series and the Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed Edition.
The Redmi 12C is built around a 6.71-inch HD+ IPS LCD panel with a 5MP front camera housed in a teardrop notch. Around the back, it has a non-slip texture with diagonal stripes and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor housed in the camera module. The camera module also has a 50MP dual rear camera and LED flash.
It is powered by a MediaTek Helio G85 chipset with up to 6GB RAM and up to 128GB storage. Additionally, it boasts a 5000mAh battery that charges via a microUSB port.

Redmi 12C Pricing and Availability
The Redmi 12C comes in three memory options, which are priced at:
- 4/64GB – CNY 699 (around PHP 5,700)
- 4/128GB – CNY 799 (around PHP 6,500)
- 6/128GB – CNY 899 (around PHP 7,300)
It is now available in China but as of writing this, it is uncertain if it will make it to the international market.
