Samsung seems to be gearing up to improve its next foldable flagship device. According to a report from Naver News, the South Korean tech giant is planning on integrating a new waterdrop hinge mechanism on the upcoming Z Fold5.
Samsung Waterdrop Hinge
This new hinge mechanism will feature a droplet shape when closed which will help prevent the crease on the two sides of the panel. The predecessor of this upcoming device used the U shape hinges that cause noticeable creases.
In addition, the South Korean manufacturer will keep the IPX8 water resistance rating on the upcoming Z Fold5.
