Sony recently introduced the Sony Walkman NW-ZX707 and NW-A306 which promised to offer hi-fi audio long battery life and a wide range of features.
Sony Walkman NW-ZX707
The NW-ZX707 has the larger 5-inch display and a faster Qualcomm QCS4290 which scored 307 and 1,316 points on Geekbench. This score matches the results of the Snapdragon 660 that is used by other brands like the FiiO M11S.
The QCS4290 chip is manufactured using an 11nm process which has 4x ARM Cortex-A73 cores at 2.0Ghz and 4x Cortex-A53 cores at 1.8GHz. These are paired with 4GB of RAM with the same motherboard configuration for both models that also support Bluetooth 5.1 but the Zx707 has no LE Audio support though.
The NW -ZX707 is priced at EUR 750 (around PHP 44,400).
Sony Walkman NW-A306
The NW-A306 boasts 36 hours of battery life with support for Sony LDAC, Qualcomm aptX HD with a smaller 3.6-inch HD display, 4GB of RAM, and Android 12.
Furthermore, the Geekbench posting showed the CQS2290 SoC with a score of 163 points (single-core) and 547 points (multi-core) which is comparable to the Snapdragon 429. The aforementioned chipset consists of 4x ARM Cortex-A53 cores up to 2GHz.
The NW-A306 is priced at EUR 399 (around PHP 23,590).
