Disney+ kicked off the year with the long-awaited debut of Tokyo Revengers: Christmas Showdown Arc.

The series invites you to follow former bad boy Takemichi as he uses his accidentally acquired powers to go back in time and save his middle school girlfriend from being murdered by the Tokyo Manji gang. This unwittingly changes the destinies of those around him.
The anime is an adaptation of Ken Wakui’s Tokyo Revengers manga series. The anime is directed by Koichi Hatsumi and features the addition of voice actor Tomokazu Sugita and popular singer and voice actor Mikako Komatsu as Taiju Shiba and Yuzuha Shiba, respectively.
Tokyo Revengers: Christmas Showdown Arc was revealed as part of an expansion to the collaboration with Kodansha publish house. This was announced at the Disney Content Showcase in November 2022.
It is the latest anime to join the extensive library of content available on Disney+ including other Japanese series like the live-action psychothriller Gannibal and Lost Man Found.
