Nokia has just revealed its new logo after new CEO Pekka Lundmark took over with a three-phase plan – reset, accelerate, and scale. The new logo is part of the second phase, which has just begun.
New Era for Nokia
This is the first time in around 60 years that the company changed its brand identity complete with the drop of the iconic blue that it has used throughout the years.
Lundmark clarified in an interview with Reuters that the company has shifted to a ‘business technology company’ from being just a smartphone brand.
“There was the association to smartphones and nowadays we are a business technology company,” he said in the interview.
The brand is looking to grow its service provider business, focusing on selling gear to other businesses. Among these include selling private 5G networks and gears for automated factories in the manufacturing sector. The shift will put them in competition with tech giants like Microsoft and Amazon.
Lundmark has also revealed that Nokia is considering developing and growing in other areas of the business as well.
Ram found his love and appreciation for writing in 2015 having started in the gaming and esports sphere for GG Network. He would then transition to focus more on the world of tech which has also began his journey into learning more about this world. That said though, he still has the mentality of "as long as it works" for his personal gadgets.
