According to a leakster on Weibo, OPPO wants to release its self-developed system-on-a-chip and it is said to arrive in 2024.

The leakster mentions that in a foreign investment forum, a MediaTek executive mentioned that OPPO’s self-developed chipset is already taped-out and will be built on a 4nm process.
Being taped-out means that the design process for integrated circuits is completed and ready to be sent into production.
Previously, the company invested around CNY 10 billion to set up integrated circuit design centers in China including Beijing, Shenzhen, and Shanghai.
The company already released its first NPU, the MariSilicon X as well as a connectivity chip dubbed the MariSilicon Y. So a full-on SoC definitely makes sense.

That said though, he still has the mentality of "as long as it works" for his personal gadgets.
