Sennheiser has just unveiled its latest open Hi-Fi headphones – Sennheiser HD 660S2 which is the follow-up to the popular audiophile HD660S headphones and offers improved audio resolution and a much beefy bass.
Sennheiser HD 660S2 details
First off, The HD 660S2 promises a significant crisper bass compared to its predecessor. It also differs a little bit aesthetically by featuring a copper-colored tone instead of the silver logo and lettering of the former model.
For the internals, Sennheiser said that the airflow around the converter has been optimized alongside a refined voice coil with its weight also reduced.
The HD 660S2 retains the clear, fine, and clean resolution of its predecessor over the entire frequency range and is capable of much more dynamic sound image in the low-end range.
Furthermore, the modified flexibility of the transducer surround lowers the resonant frequency from 110 Hz in the HD 660S to 70 Hz in the new HD 660S2.
The Hi-Fi headphones come with 1.8m detachable cables with 6.3mm and 4.4mm stereo jacks alongside a 3.5mm adapter so you can use it with DAC amps.
The HD 660S2 can be pre-ordered for EUR 599 (around PHP 35,020) and is globally available with shipments starting February 21, 2023.
