Rumors have been going around the internet on Sony’s next-generation flagship device – the Sony Xperia 1 V. Now, a leaked live image of the device has surfaced revealing its back panel including a peek into the camera module.
Sony Xperia 1 V Leaked Photo
The leaked photo shows that the Sony Xperia 1 V does not have a ToF camera and RGB IR sensor which the Xperia 1 IV had. However, it does have three cameras, an LED flash, a microphone, and ZEISS branding.
Looking closer, the bottom camera looks to be a periscope zoom lens. This is often seen on the top-specced flagship devices like the Galaxy S22 Ultra, Galaxy S23 Ultra, and Mate 50 Pro.
There were previous reports that claim that the device may come with the LG Innotek “Optical Telephoto Zoom Module” which offers up to 9x zoom.
While we’re on the topic of leaks, the Xperia 1 V is expected to have a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset at the helm. The device is rumored to be the slimmest phone powered by the next-generation Snapdragon chipset.
The Sony Xperia 1 V is expected to be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress 2023 later this month. Although, Sony has been mum with no announcement yet. So we’ll just have to wait and see.
