The Xiaomi Wireless AR Glass Discovery Edition is a wireless smart glasses concept device built from a magnesium-lithium alloy structure with carbon fiber elements.

They pair to your phone or other devices with Snapdragon Spaces and offer an immersive augmented reality (AR) experience. It offers latency of as low as 50ms. This, as per the company, is at par with the latency from the traditional wired AR/VR headset. The glasses don’t have any built-in storage so they require to be connected to a host device to work.

Additionally, the glasses have two micro OLED displays with a free-form light-guiding prism module that outputs content. They offer a peak brightness of up to 1200 nits per eye.

The AR Glass has three incorporated camera modules that map out the world around you. They also boast electrochromic lenses with two modes – immersed mode and transparent mode. The former improves your immersion in the virtual space, while the latter allows you to see objects in the real world.

They are powered by the Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 1 chipset and support the Snapdragon Spaces XR developer platform. Furthermore, Xiaomi also included and developed AR gesture controls with spatial detection.

As this is a concept device, we’re uncertain if we’ll ever see the Xiaomi Wireless AR Glass Discovery Edition ever make it to mass production.
