Google has just the Android 14 Developer Preview 2 with more improvements to privacy, security, and performance.

The second developer preview introduces built-in support for apps to access all photos, select photos, or none at all.
It has a Credential Manager platform API that lets apps sign in using passkeys. Additionally, it introduces optimizations to the memory management system that improves resource usage while apps are running in the background.
You will also get Regional preferences that allow you to personalize temperature units, the first day of the week, and the numbering system based on your region.
If you’re interested, you can install the Developer Preview 2 on the Pixel 4a 5G and newer Pixel devices.
Google has recently announced that the Google I/O 2023 event will take place on May 10 and it is believed that Android 14 will be detailed then.
