CAD-based renderings of the Google Pixel 8 Pro have surfaced today, and it appears that it will maintain the same visual aesthetic as its predecessor.

These renderings seem fairly early as the phone won’t be available until October, but Google might tease it on May 10 during its I/O developer conference, just like it did with the Pixel 7 series last year.

In comparison to the Pixel 7 Pro from a year ago, the Google Pixel 8 Pro sports more rounded corners and a less boxy overall design. Even though it’s still easy to see that the camera island belongs to a Pixel, it has changed.

This time, it appears that Google decided to place all three cameras in the same circular metal ‘opening’. Moreover, there is a new sensor behind the flash, however, it is yet unknown what it may be.

The Google Pixel 8 Pro has dimensions of 162.6 x 76.5 x 8.7 mm with a camera hump that is around 12 mm thick. The power and volume keys are on the right, the USB-C port and speaker are on the bottom, and the SIM tray is on the left.

Moreover, the display is reportedly around 6.52-inch smaller than the Pixel 7 Pro’s, but this change has to do with making more rounded edges presumably.

The future Google Tensor G3 SoC, which is reported to be based on the undisclosed Samsung Exynos 2300 and manufactured using Samsung’s 3nm technology, is anticipated to power the phone. Comparing this to the Tensor G2 manufactured on a 5nm process, performance, and efficiency may ultimately improve.

Pixel 7a and Pixel Fold May Arrive in June

Additionally, the Pixel 7a and Pixel Fold may arrive, according to some reports, this coming June 2023.

The Fold is reported to come in Carbon and Porcelain color options and with a 256GB storage configuration for the smartphone. As of now, the price has been estimated to be around EUR 1,700(around PHP 100,320).

The Pixel 7a, on the other hand, is reported to be available with 128GB of storage in the colors Cotton, Arctic Blue, and Carbon, with a Jade variant perhaps on the way. Pricing is anticipated to be approximately EUR 500(around PHP 29,500)

According to rumors, Google’s I/O developer conference will include the announcements of both the Pixel Fold and the Pixel 7a.
