Nothing has just rolled out Nothing OS 1.5.3 for the Nothing Phone (1). The update is the company’s first major update since the launch of the Android 13-based Nothing OS 1.5.

The new update is a 91MB download and improves app loading speeds and offers better battery life. The latter uses a new memory management algorithm to lower CPU consumption by lowering app restart times by 35%.
Additionally, the major update has smoother animations, improved fingerprint transition between the lock screen and Always-On-Display, and improved system stability.
One surprising addition as well as is the support for Nothing Ear (2) which is set to be announced next week.
The update is already being rolled out and is said to reach all Phone (1) users in the next couple of days.
