Qualcomm Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Mobile, Compute, and XR Units, Alex Katouzian accidentally revealed in a post on LinkedIn that the Nothing Phone (2) will be powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset.

This comes after the two companies revealed a partnership at the recently concluded MWC 2023.

The Nothing Phone (2) was previously revealed to be a premium device by company CEO Carl Pei and confirmed to arrive later this year with a Snapdragon 8 series chipset. This is quite an upgrade from the mid-range Phone (1) with its Snapdragon 778G+ chipset.

The LinkedIn post from the Qualcomm executive has since been edited to say Snapdragon 8 series chipset but it was after the fact that publications like 91mobiles were able to take a screenshot of the original post.
