The OnePlus 11 was released globally last February with two colorways- Black and Green. Now, the brand has announced third colorway – Jupiter Rock.
Jupiter Rock is inspired by the surface of our Solar System’s largest planet, with each unit having a unique design created with a material called “3D microcrystalline rock,” which has a subtle shimmer below when light touches it.
OnePlus describes the new panel’s feel as “as cold and skin-friendly as a jade (stone) submerged in spring water for hundreds of years.” As to how they came up with the name, Jupiter is a gas planet, but the design and substance are based on a microlite rock. So, Jupiter Rock.
Research and development for the panel took over a year, with the material undergoing nine sophisticated procedures before becoming ending up as the back panel on a OnePlus 11 smartphone.
The OnePlus 11 Jupiter Rock edition includes 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage and costs the same as the Green or Black variants – CNY 4,899 (around PHP 38,600).
Pre-orders are already available in China, with the initial sale set for April 3.
