Qualcomm has just announced that it will be holding an event on March 17. While the company didn’t specify what exactly it will launch, there are rumors that it will be the Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 1 that will make its debut.
Back in May, the company introduced the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and Snapdragon 7 Gen 1. If the 7+ Gen 1 will be launched, it is the second plus chipset for smartphones.
Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 1 – The Rumors So Far
Reports mention that the company’s plus chipset has the model number SM7475. It is also said to be built on a 4nm process with a Cortex-X2 prime core clocked at 2.95GHz, three Cortex-A510 cores running at 2.5GHz, and four Cortex-A710 cores at 1.8GHz.
For graphics, it is reported to have an Adreno 725 GPU. Furthermore, the SM7475 was spotted on Geekbench scoring 1215 and 4064 on the single-core and multi-core tests, respectively. It also scored 1,029,731 on AnTuTu.
There are rumors that Redmi, realme, HONOR, OPPO, and vivo will introduce Snapdragon 7+ Gen 1-powered phones after the launch.
