Sony has just expanded its ZV series with the new Sony ZV-E1, a compact full-frame sensor vlogging camera.
The ZV-E1 has the same 12MP full-frame that the company uses in its Alpha 7S III and FX3 cameras. The sensor has remarkable low light capabilities and a 15+ stops dynamic range. The new vlogging camera is also equipped with the BIONZ XR image processor.
It also maxes out at 4K 60fps video recording with 4:2:2 and 10-bit. Although, the company promises an update in the future to introduce 4K 120fps recording.
The latest ZV-series camera features a single SD card slot and a mini HDMI port. Additionally, it has a dedicated zoom ring around the shutter as well as controls to easily adjust the depth of field and focus.
The camera also has a new Cinemascope aspect ratio that puts black bars around the 16:9 frame to create a 21:9.
On the software front, it has AI human recognition to allow Multiple Face Recognition to make sure that two people are in focus. It also has other AI-related features including:
- Auto framing
- Framing Stabilizer
- Auto microphone
- Improved real-time Recognition
- Breathing compensation
- Dynamic Active Mode stabilization
