MediaTek recently announced that it will introduce the MediaTek Dimensity 9200+, its latest flagship chipset, on May 10.

If this is anything like the Dimensity 9000 and 9000+, then we can expect the Dimensity 9200+ to be a minor upgrade to the vanilla 9200. As a reminder, the Dimensity 9000+ had a higher clock speed in the CPU and GPU than the non-Plus sibling but carried over everything else.

The Dimensity 9200 was built on a 4nm FinFET process, had one Arm Cortex X3 core, three Cortex-A715 cores, and four Arm Cortex-A510 cores as well as equipped with an Arm Immortalis-G715 MC11 GPU. If the MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ is a minor upgrade, then we can expect the same process, core setup, and GPU.

Among the companies rumored to be working on a device powered by the new chipset include vivo and realme. The latter will also have an event on May 10 for the realme 11 series and could tease a device with the new MediaTek flagship chipset.
