OPPO Find N2 Flip Review
When I first saw this device over a month ago, I was immediately impressed by its unique and innovative design. The phone boasts a large 3.26-inch cover screen, which supports always-on display and widgets. This is a great feature because it allows you to check your notifications, time, and other important information without having to open the phone.
In addition to its impressive cover screen, the phone also has a folding mechanism that gives it a flat and gap-less design. Unlike other folding phones, such as the Galaxy Z Flip series, you won’t notice any gaps between the folded display. This is a significant advantage because it enhances the phone’s durability, usability, and aesthetic appeal.
Phone Design and Display
The device is also very sleek and stylish, with a slim profile and a minimalist design. It has a glossy finish and is available in a range of colors, including black, white, and blue. The phone feels very solid and well-built in the hand, and the folding mechanism is smooth and responsive.
Once you unfold the device, you’ll be greeted with a breathtaking 6.8-inch main display. The display boasts a 120Hz refresh rate that can go up to 240Hz touch sampling rate and supports HDR10+. This stunning display is truly one of the phone’s best features. The display is almost crease-free, which is a significant improvement from the creases found on many foldable displays. I believe this is one of the phone’s standout features, and I’m confident that other reviewers, both local and international, will agree with me. The high refresh rate and touch sampling rate provide an incredibly smooth and responsive user experience. The HDR10+ support means that the colors are vibrant, and the contrast is excellent.
One thing I appreciate about this device is its compactness, which makes it easy to carry in my pocket or bag. What’s even better is that it allows for instant use without needing to unfold it. However, I do wish that there was a way for me to use it in its unfolded state. It seems like it should be possible since it’s just an extension of the main display. It would be a great improvement if they could update the device to allow for this. Being able to use it like a regular display would add even more convenience and functionality to an already impressive device. It would be great for tasks like reading, browsing, or watching videos without needing to fully unfold the device. I hope they consider this option in future updates as it would make this already impressive device even more versatile.
The display of this device is impressive, as it is bright and accurately represents colors. A comparison with the displays of the iPhone 14 Pro Max and Galaxy S23 Ultra reveals that it holds its own against the top phones on the market. While it may not have the largest display, it is certainly more than sufficient for enjoying games or streaming movies on popular platforms like Disney+ or Netflix.
Specs and Performance
The OPPO Find N2 Flip is equipped with the powerful 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ chipset, which provides impressive processing power. The device also boasts 8GB of RAM, ensuring that it can handle multiple apps and tasks simultaneously without any lag or stutter. Additionally, the phone has a generous 256GB of internal storage, giving you plenty of space to store your favorite games, photos, and videos.
To enhance your gaming experience, the OPPO Find N2 Flip comes with an ARM Mali-G710 MC10 GPU, which can handle even the most demanding mobile games with ease. With this graphics processing unit, you can enjoy smooth gameplay, crisp visuals, and fast frame rates. Moreover, the device’s powerful hardware makes it an ideal candidate for running emulators, allowing you to play classic console games from the past.
To gauge the performance of the OPPO Find N2 Flip, I conducted a series of benchmark tests. Although it may not be a dedicated gaming phone, it is still noteworthy to see how it fares against its flagship competitors. In comparison to the ROG Phone 6D, which also has the Dimensity 9000+, the Find N2 Flip is slightly slower, but this can be attributed to its lower RAM and storage capacity. Additionally, it lacks gaming-specific features to prevent thermal throttling, which is expected since it is not primarily designed for gaming. However, it is still capable of competing with other high-end phones in the market, such as the Galaxy Z Flip4.

Camera Specs and Performance
Let’s talk about the camera now. The OPPO Find N2 Flip has a set of main and front cameras that are powered by Marisilicon X, which uses a 6-nanometer process and provides efficient AI computing power of up to 18 TO per second.
The phone has Hasselblad imaging pre-installed, similar to the OPPO Find X5 series and the OnePlus 11. I was impressed with the camera performance, just as I was with the OnePlus 11. It’s clear that significant improvements have been made with the OPPO Find N2 Flip, as evidenced by the photos I took.
All sensors are powered by Sony, which captures photos with accurate colors, especially in favorable lighting conditions. However, in low light conditions, you may experience significant shutter lag, and the camera may struggle to focus on the subject. With more optimization of the software, Marisilicon Imaging NPU, Hasselblad Imaging, and Sony sensors, OPPO should be able to improve the quality of its outputs moving forward.
Right now, at its state, I would give it a passing rate, but OPPO should consider improving it further via software updates.
The OPPO Find N2 Flip is definitely a great phone for taking selfies. With its 32MP front-facing camera, you can capture clear and crisp selfies. But what’s even more impressive is that you can use the rear camera with the cover screen as your viewfinder, allowing you to take even better photos. The FlexForm feature is also worth mentioning, as it takes advantage of the phone’s folding mechanism. You can simply place the phone on a table and record yourself while talking about your favorite topics. This is perfect for creating instructional or self-help videos that you can share on social media platforms like YouTube or TikTok. The camera is also great for capturing time-lapse videos or using it as a camcorder. The possibilities are endless, and it’s great to see that OPPO has included such versatile camera features on this phone.
The OPPO Find N2 Flip is equipped with a Dual Screen Preview feature, which enables you to display a preview of your shot to your friends or subjects. This is an excellent feature that you can utilize when you’re trying to take a group photo or when you want to show someone a shot that you just took.
But, while this phone excels in many aspects, it does lack some essential features in the video department. Specifically, it doesn’t have Pro Video and Portrait Video features. Despite this, the phone makes up for it with its 4K 60fps video shooting capability.
With the Find N2 Flip, you’ll be able to capture videos in high resolution, which is great for those who love to take high-quality footage. You can also take advantage of the FlexForm feature to capture videos at different angles and perspectives. Overall, the OPPO Find N2 Flip offers a decent video shooting experience but it could use some improvements in terms of video features.
Software
The OPPO Find N2 Flip is powered by ColorOS 13, which is based on Android and has been customized by OPPO to provide additional features that enhance the user experience. With ColorOS 13, the phone’s foldable features are enabled, allowing users to take advantage of its unique form factor. It also has an always-on display, which is a nice touch.
In addition, ColorOS 13 provides several performance tweaks that allow users to maximize the phone’s powerful specs. Some of the notable features include Split Screen, Flexible Windows, Quick Return, Smart Sidebar, and Kids Space. With Split Screen, users can work on two apps simultaneously, making it easier to multitask. Flexible Windows allow users to resize windows to their preferred size. Quick Return lets you quickly return to a previous app by swiping down from the top of the screen. Smart Sidebar is a handy tool that provides quick access to frequently used apps and tools. Meanwhile, Kids Space provides a safe environment for children to explore and learn on the phone.
For gamers, the phone comes with a dedicated Game app that gives them more control over performance and notifications. This is perfect for those who love mobile gaming and want to make the most out of their gaming experience.
Battery Performance
The battery performance of the OPPO Find N2 Flip is remarkable, considering its large cover display and foldable features. With only 20% battery remaining, the phone can last up to 14 hours and 27 minutes, which is quite impressive compared to other foldable phones in the market. OPPO has clearly put in a lot of effort to optimize the phone’s battery life, and users can rest assured that they won’t have to worry about running out of juice quickly.
The phone’s battery is rated at 4400mAh, which is decent enough for most users. It also supports fast charging at 65W, allowing you to recharge the battery quickly whenever it runs low. With its battery life and fast charging capabilities, the OPPO Find N2 Flip is an ideal phone for users who are always on the go and need a reliable device that can keep up with their busy lifestyle.
In addition to the battery performance, the phone also has several power-saving features that can help extend its battery life further. These include an adaptive battery feature, which learns your usage patterns and adjusts the phone’s performance accordingly, as well as an ultra-power saving mode that can be enabled when the battery is running low.
OPPO Find N2 Flip comes with 44W SuperVOOC charging, a charging technology that allows you to fully charge your phone in a little over an hour, starting from 0%. While it may not be the fastest charging speed in the market, it is still commendable considering that it is a foldable device. This means that you don’t have to wait for long periods to recharge your phone’s battery, and you can spend more time using it.
The 44W SuperVOOC charging technology is incredibly useful for people who are always on-the-go and need their phone to be fully charged quickly. For example, if you’re traveling and need to use your phone for navigation, you can quickly recharge it during a break or while waiting for your next flight. The fast charging speed also ensures that you can take advantage of the phone’s features, such as its dual-screen preview or 4K video recording, without worrying about your battery running out.
Verdict
I have a strong admiration for this phone, particularly when it comes to its design. In my opinion, it outperforms the Galaxy Z Flip4 in terms of aesthetic appeal. Although its camera performance is not flawless, it is still impressive. I was surprised by its gaming capabilities, making it an excellent choice for those who enjoy playing games on their smartphones. Additionally, the battery life of this phone is superior to other foldable devices currently available in the market. Overall, I believe that this phone is a fantastic option for those who are looking for a unique and high-performing device.
At its PhP49,999 price, the OPPO Find N2 Flip is excellently priced by OPPO Philippines. The only thing that will stop people from buying this phone is the assumption that Samsung is always the better choice.
