After much fanfare, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra is now official with four 50MP lenses co-developed by Xiaomi and Leica. Unlike the Xiaomi 12S Ultra, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra is confirmed to leave the Chinese market.
Xiaomi 13 Ultra Camera
The focal point of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra is its cameras and at the center of it is a 1-inch 50MP Sony IMX989 with OIS and a two-step aperture that goes from either f/1.9 or f/4.0. The sensor features 4-to-1 1.6µm pixel binning which results in 12.5MP images with 3.2µm individual pixels.
Additionally, the main camera has a new 50MP UltraRAW mode that provides 14-bit DNG files. Adobe has confirmed that it will provide a custom camera profile for Lightroom.
The main lens is accompanied by three 50MP Sony IMX858 sensors which feature a 12mm f/1.8 autofocusing ultrawide with 5cm macro focusing, a 75mm f/1.8 OIS 3.2x mid-range zoom, and a 120mm f/3.0 5x zoom. The lenses offer a 2x 46mm and 10x 240mm mode.
The four lenses are housed in a unified glass dome around the back that is called the Leica Vario-Summicron 1:1.8-3.0/12-120 ASPH lens. Additionally, they have Leica Vibrant and Leica Authentic modes.
Meanwhile, on the front is a 32MP sensor with a fixed focus. This is housed in a punch hole on the 6.73-inch WQHD+ AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 2600nits.
Xiaomi 13 Ultra Hardware and Design
Under the hood, it has the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 3.0 storage. It is cooled by what Xiaomi dubs a Loo LiquidCool tech with aerospace-grade toroidal cooling and a vapor chamber.
The latest Ultra device also features the Xiaomi Surge P2 and Surge G1 custom chips to keep track of the 5000mAh battery.
The Black and Olive Green color options of the device feature an antibacterial nanotech silicon leather that is said to have a 99% bacterial inhibition rate.

Xiaomi 13 Ultra Pricing and Availability
The Xiaomi 13 Ultra is available in China starting this month. It will arrive in three configurations and these are priced at:
- 12GB+256GB – CNY 5,999 (around PHP 49,100)
- 16GB+512GB – CNY 6,499 (around PHP 53,100)
- 16GB+1TB – CNY 7,299 (around PHP 59,700)
The company announced that it will be introduced in various global markets in the following months.
