Acer recently introduced the Predator Orion X, its latest gaming desktop, along with the Nitro XZ452CU V and Predator X34 V gaming monitors.
Predator Orion X
The Predator Orion X is powered by an Intel Core i9-13900KS processor with a 150W TDP and features a liquid-cooled NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 GPU with 24GB of G6X memory. The gaming desktop has a custom-engineered, liquid-cooled cooling module to the standard heat sink fans.
The Orion X comes with up to 32GB DDR5-5600 RAM, two M.2 SSDs with up to 1TB for each, and an illuminated, hot-swap NVMe M.2 SSD drive bay. It also has the Intel Keiller E3100G and Intel Killer Wi-Fi 6E AX211.
The Predator Orion X has a space capsule-inspired chassis that weighs only 9 kg. The chassis features three special ‘zones’ for greater customization by making designated hardware more accessible. These are for:
- Zone 1 – for CPU, PSU, and SSD
- Zone 2 – for VGA and dual 2.5-inch SATA HDD slots
- Zone 3 – 240mm CPU liquid cooler stationed near Zone 1
Additionally, these zones are protected with metal side panels which can be removed via a small latch. The case also comes with a rotatable robotic-like arm on the top to rest your headphones.
As far as ports go, the gaming desktop offers one USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-C, one USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A, and a mic combo jack on the front. Around the back, it has:
- one USB 3.2 Gen2x2 Type-C port
- three USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A ports
- two USB 2.0 ports
- RJ45 port
The Predator Orion X also comes with the PredatorSense 4.0 utility app to monitor the system for overclocking and customize RGB lighting preferences.
Nitro XZ452CU V
The Nitro XZ452CU V, on the other hand, is a 44.5-inch gaming monitor with a 1500R curvature and a 32:9 (5120×1440) aspect ratio. It boasts a 165Hz refresh rate and comes with AMD FreeSync Premium Pro.
It also supports 90% of DCI-P3 and VESA DisplayHDR 400. The monitor is also equipped with BlueLightShield Pro, Flickerless, Low-dimming, and ComfyView technologies and comes with Eyesafe 2.0 certification.
The new gaming monitor comes with a three-in-one USB-C port and an RJ45 port.
Predator X34 V
The Predator X34V, as the name suggests, is a 34-inch gaming monitor with an OLED panel and a UWQHD (3440×1440) resolution. It boasts a 175Hz refresh rate and a 0.1ms response time. Coupled with AMD FreeSync Premium and a Variable Refresh Rate, the monitor offers a tear-free experience.
