Canon introduced the Canon EOS R100 in the US. The company’s latest camera in the EOS R series is also the most affordable in the series and designed for first-time mirrorless camera users.

The Canon EOS R100 is equipped with a 24.2MP APS-CMOS sensor and a DIGIC 8 processor. The camera also has the company’s Dual Pixel AF with 143 Autofocus zones and face detection. It also supports full-width FHD video of up to 30 fps and 4K video of up to 24 fps.
The camera offers Scene Intelligent Auto mode to make shooting a bit easier along with Creative Filters and a Hybrid Auto mode.
Moreover, it supports connectivity via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi for a more convenient way of transferring photos.
The camera has a 3-inch LCD panel with a 1.04M dot but no articulation and touch support. It only supports a single UHS-I SD card and doesn’t have a headphone jack as well as in-body stabilization.
As far as lens options out of the box, you can get it with an RF-S18-45mm F4.5-6.3 IS STM lens or RF-S55-210mm F5-7.1 IS STM options.
Along with the camera, Canon also introduced the new RF28mm F2.8 STM pancake lens with a 7-blade circular aperture and a minimum focusing distance of 9.1 inches and up to 0.17x zoom. It will be available in July 2023 for around USD 299.99 (around PHP 16,800).

The Canon EOS R100 is set to be available starting July 2023 and it is priced at:
- body only – USD 479.99 (around PHP 26,900)
- with the RF-S18-45mm F4.5-6.3 IS STM lens – USD 599.99 (around PHP 33,700)
- with the RF-S18-45mm F4.5-6.3 IS STM and RF-S55-210mm F5-7.1 IS STM lenses – USD 829.99 (around PHP 46,600)
